Hey! I was just curious, have any of you wrote any card submissions for the card company Blue Mountain Arts?
I submitted a few back in February, but they were all rejected. I was thinking about writing some new ones ,and trying again. I was just curious if anyone has had any experience with them?

Old Barn

One of the last pictures, I took of my family’s old barn. Before it had to be torn down. Do to the unfortunate fact, it was old, and becoming a safety hazard.
Tick tock Goes The Midnight Clock

Tick tock goes the midnight clock. Twelve times the chimes sing a song. I throw the shutters open, and peek out toward the street. A man calls out, its midnight, and all is well! And tick tock goes the midnight clock

Midnight Hour

I sit here, and think upon this midnight hour. While others dream, I think, and think I do. It seems too me, the best thoughts come at this late hour.

Spring’s Renewal

Early morning dew shimmers in the golden rays of the rising Sun. Birds sing and fly from tree to tree. The crisp morning air will subside by noon. along with the hazy fog rising from the pond. The green that faded in the Fall will be lush once more. I have turned the corner of another year, now Spring is here. Her beauty renewed from blossom to bloom.

Change

One day it came to my door without a knock. Without a ring of the doorbell. It came upon me without warning, and before I knew it it had gone. Only to come back every so often throughout my life. Sometimes it brought me joy. Other times sadness, but it always came in the same way. Its the only constant we all must face. From season to season. From solstice to solstice. It isn’t a friend nor an enemy, it just is. I try to hold on to the moments, but they always slip through my grasp. As I watch the years pass, my hair has turned grey. And I have grown wise, so change comes as no surprise.

Autumn

As I stood atop a ridge gazing across, the valley breathing in the cool Autumn air. I seen the leaves that were once green start to turn. It looked as though Mother Nature dipped her brush, and splashed her leaves hues of golden, red, and orange. Down below in the valley deer were grazing, near a winding stream. The cool Autumn breeze blows a chill, and the painted leaves begin to fall. That’s her que Autumn has begun.

King of Nothing

A man with all the power, and no plan is a dangerous man. He never takes the blame, and never feels the sting. In his mind he does no wrong, and knows it all. While the people around him fall, he sits high upon the hill. Until someone comes along, knocks him down, and steals his crown.
