Ominous, blackened storm clouds were rolling near. This is not the sight, you want to see while being stuck out at sea. He thought to himself. Gale force winds started to move in. The once calm sea, was now tempestuous, the angry waves slammed port side, with tremendous force. The salty sea water drenching the deck, and all aboard. Just trying to maintain, and survive this violent storm. The ship being tossed about, like a bucking bull. Only this ride lasted longer then 8 seconds,it seemed to be an eternity. Finally the hell’s fury of the storm loosened, its death grip, it had had upon us. The sun could be seen peeking out from behind the charcoal colored clouds. And all was as it should be again.

From having spent many years in the Navy, I can attest to the imagery and emotion of being in that picture. So accurate and very well done!!

Thank you! Growing up, my brother loved WW2 history. I have always had a fascination with it also. π

So this one was inspired by WW2. π
I wrote another short story about a light house keeper years ago it still needs more work. I enjoy writing stories about the sea.
